Connie Dato English has over 25 years of recruiting and business experience, most recently as the Director of Global Talent Acquisition at the CFA Institute. In this role, she led the recruitment function, identifying, attracting, evaluating, and hiring senior level executives in the United States, Europe, Middle East, India and China. Connie established and is on the Board of Directors of First10Forward, a non-profit corporation, whose mission is to advance professional goals of women and girls pursuing non-traditional careers. Prior to joining the CFA Institute, Connie led Alumni Career Services at the University of Virginia’s Darden School, working with thousands of mid-career executives on career management and transitions. She presented alumni career workshops at several top global business schools and assisted employers in attracting business school graduates. She also set strategic direction, developed processes and systems, and built a high impact, flexible team that consistently exceeded the expectations of clients.
Earlier in her career, Connie was a human resources manager at JM Huber Corporation, Engineered Woods Division. She also worked in Booz Allen Hamilton’s Transportation Consulting Division conducting management consulting projects dealing with economic feasibility, organization development, operations, and strategy.
Connie earned an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden Graduate School of Business Administration, and a BS in Marine Transportation from the United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point.
